The beauty in my Country
Go outside
Look at the sun
With a mountain in sight
In the evening, the sun glows
An orange ball of warmth
The sun shines down
With music on my mind
These thoughts flow
Through my fingers to my keyboard
The beauty in the struggle
The fire that makes Gold
I probably see life through a bubble
But then, even my troubles are bold
I try to see the beauty in my Country
What makes my home a tourist attraction
Even with the international embarrassment
We call politicking
I see proud mountains and hills
That have stood for ages
That probably have stories
That endure in a timeless haze
I cast my mind to the warm springs
Where warm water comes from nature
And coexists with cold water
Water so clean, it could be used.
Have a cup, of tea
I remember from NTA
The horse shows to the north
The stallions pride
While he races to the music
The ancient art
Of ancestors past
The creativity inherent
In our blood
The music
Both old and new
That sets the soul ablaze
The blood pumping
That moves the feet
The dance steps
That move the spirit
The flexible waists
That entice men into marriage
So you see,
As bad as my country looks,
There's beauty in my country
Yes call me sappy, call me stupid
But I'm proud of my country.
